About Our Charity
In 2009 a group of volunteers who were passionate about horses banded together to rescue Tallahassee’s forgotten equines. This band of volunteers would come to be officially known as Equine Rehabilitation Ranch Inc., better known as Triple R Horse Rescue, a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a simple vision- that no horse in the greater Tallahassee area should be left hungry, hurt, or alone.
Triple R believes that horses, most of whom give so much of their strength and wellbeing to the humans they carry, deserve to be cared for long after they cease to be useful for riding, showing, or breeding. And it is Triple R’s mission to make sure that these gentle giants are shown the love and compassion that they deserve.
Triple R does this primarily by serving as one of the last resources for abused and hungry horses in Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, and Jefferson counties. We rely on volunteers and fosters to house and provide day-to-day care (and plenty of love) for our horses.
Triple R is volunteer-run and funded by public donations.

Our Mission
As a 501(c)3 horse rescue serving North Florida and South Georgia, it is our mission to rescue equines that have been physically and/or psychologically abused, neglected or abandoned. Triple R will provide rehabilitation, seek out caring adoptive families and strive to educate horse owners and the community about the plight of unwanted horses and the proper care needed to restore their health and dignity. Our goal is also to provide temporary aid to families needing emergency assistance in the care or rehoming of their animals.
