These horses were adopted into Forever Homes. They’ve made the leap from abuse and neglect to a solid relationship with a family that loves them. This is what we’re all about!

Clarabelle

Meet our newest rescue — a donkey whose owner deserted her. She is in our care now, thanks to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and is being fostered by Yvonne Wyche. She was clipped over the weekend and is feeling much cooler now!

Update: Clarabelle was adopted in 2014!

Clarabelle was adopted in July 2014.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon was brought into Triple R with her two pasture mates, Titan and Gigi. Due to her owners medical condition, she was no longer able to care for them.  Cinnamon has now found her forever home. Congratulations to David Rigdon on his adoption of Cinnamon! Happy trails to you both!

Gigi, 13 yo grey QH mare

Gigi has been adopted into a loving home by Katrina Cochran. Congratulations, Katrina!

Gigi is a 13 year old grey Quarter Horse Mare. Has had extensive training in Reining. She is very sweet and has excellent ground manners. Loads, ties, and stands for farrier. Will need an intermediate to advanced rider.

Valor

Valor

Valor was a scared, traumatized little mare when we took her in. Foster mom Beth could see her potential, though. With good nutrition and TLC, Valor transformed into this beautiful mare. She didn’t stay “on the market” long, either. Last week she was adopted by a sweet family from Chipley, FL. Valor shipped directly from her foster home to a Chipley trainer, where she will go to finishing school and then become a great horse for the family’s 12-year-old daughter. We love it when stories turn out like this. 🙂

Jack

Jack has been adopted and found a wonderful home with Kinsey Taylor! Congrats Kinsey and Jack!

Jack is the second gelding in the small herd we rescued in Gretna, FL in June 2013. His rehabilitation is going well and he’s looking good. What a wonderful horse he’ll make someone someday!

Max

Update 6/8/14:  Max is a stunning 7 year old Quarter Horse gelding. He is about 15.1 hands and has a willing disposition. He is currently in training with William Alford and is coming along nicely. He was rescued over a year ago after being abandoned. He and his pasture mates were left to fend for themselves. After a year of rehabilitation and several weeks of training, Max is turning into a wonderful horse. He would be ideal for an experienced rider, or an intermediate rider with a trainer.

July 2014 Update: Max got adopted! Brenda drove 5 hours from Alabama and when she got out of the truck she was in love!

Penny, chestnut mare

Penny, chestnut mare

Penny was rescued in February 2013 from a bad situation. You can read her rescue story here.

UPDATE: Penny was adopted in late 2013 to a great forever home.

Penny is a gem! She handles so easily all you have to do is look at her feet and she picks them up for you. She has great ground manners! On a sad note though her feet are in bad shape. She is missing the frog in her front feet and has thrush. We are putting Betadine on them everyday and have called the vet to see if there is anything else we can do.

February 16, 2013 update: As of now the vet doesn’t think shes pregnant but she was in with the stud when I picked her up, so we will just have to monitor it. She has warmed up to me but doesn’t like new people. Once she warms up she is a real sweetheart. She really loves to be brushed. She let me brush her whole body and blanket her for tonight’s freeze and didn’t balk once.
